Code of Ethics

We believe:

  1. That the Azawakh, with its ancient heritage, being a creature renowned for its loyalty, strength, beauty, and athleticism, has earned and deserves the company of individuals dedicated to its preservation and advancement;
  2. That breeders, owners, handlers, and friends of the Azawakh have much to gain by observing the best tenets of ethical behavior in all matters pertaining to the Azawakh;
  3. That the principli of ‘treat others as you would like to be treated’  is desirable to define ethical practices and to encourage high ethical behavior;
  4. That it is the right and obligation of the The Azawakh Club to set high standards in matters of ethics concerning the Azawakh;
  5. That in every situation the welfare of the Azawakh shall be paramount over all considerations; that the best interests of the Azawakh must be the criterion in all interactions and transactions;
  6. That members shall at all times treat the proud specimens of the Azawakh race with the kindness, respect and affection of which they are justly deserving.
